Personal Communication is Key So You Don't Have to Resort to Web Conferencing

Such a broad statement for such a simple concept offer paths for a lot of options on where this article can go. Being such a broad topic does not diminish the importance communication plays in the success of every relationship. Communication is essential in your personal relationships and without it you have two people living in close proximity yet they may not know each other at all. It may be a little overkill to use cheap web conferencing to keep in touch if one or both of you travels but then again, it isn't such a bad idea. If you don't communicate about what's going on in your life with your partner, how will they know? People can't really read each other's minds. As a couple it might be a good idea to set aside a time every day to talk. Talk about the good things and the things that are bothering you. It is also a good time to listen. Just because your partner wants to vent, that doesn't mean they want you to fix it, they may just want you to listen.
The same holds true in business. Some people think out loud. They may or may not be looking for feedback; they may just be using you as a sounding board. If so, don't fret, just go with it and don't appear to be bored. There are countless stories of people who have sat and listened to someone go on and on, with just a question every now and then, and have been told they are fantastic conversationalists. The truth is all they did was listen.
